Medwakh.com was formed out of our frustration at not being able to find real Dokha outside the United Arab Emirates and surrounding areas, and realizing others felt the same. ABOUT DOKHA
Dokha has been and continues to be the prefered form of loose tobacco smoking in the Middle East for a variety of reasons:
1- Smoking Dokha is very economical. It certainly isn't the least expensive tobacco you'll ever buy, but it is so very strong, that you will smoke a very small amount of it each time.
2- Dokha is best when smoked with the traditional Middle Eastern Dokha pipe, called a Medwakh. One of the benefits of using a Medwakh is that there is virtually no second hand smoke. This eliminates the chance of interfering with someone who is not smoking.
3- Because such a relatively small amount of Dokha is smoked, and because a Medwakh is so efficient, your clothing, furniture, and hands will not smell of tobacco. Any odor that is detectable will smell of the herbs and spices of your blend, not just of tobacco.
4- Various studies claim that a bowl of Dokha smoked in a properly filtered Medwakh is certainly not as harmful to your health as a cigarette, and may only provide you with one seventh to one tenth as much harmful elements. This makes sense to us at Medwakh.com, as you smoke much less tobacco at a time, the smoke is much cooler than a cigarettes, and there is no paper or chemical additives in the smoke.
